About the Event
Learn to sew a top with this wonderful pattern by Marillia Walker. This is the Autumn/Winter version of this class, which features 3/4 length sleeves with elastic cuffs, great for layering under cardigans. The top has a wide neckline facing & is available in adult sizes up to 60” bust. This class makes a great accompaniment to our Beginners Sewing: Pyjama Trousers.
The techniques you’ll be taught by Vicki in this class include cutting out pattern pieces, using notches, sewing a facing, understitching, hemming & pressing.
Fabric choices are included in the class but you can of course bring your own fabric too. Depending on the width of the fabric & size sewn, you’ll need between 1.8m - 2.3m of 112cm fabric or 1.2m - 1.9m of 140cm wide fabric. The top can be sewn in a wide variety of fabrics.
