Sew a Zipped Pouch

Learn how to sew a beautiful lined zip-up pouch with wide base to hold all your treasures. This workshop is lead by Vicki Halliday, who will guide you through all the fiddly little techniques to ensure a beautiful finish. Choose from our selection of deadstock zips & fabrics or bring your own.

This class is suitable for sewists with some sewing machine & making experience; not suitable for absolute beginners. 

All equipment & materials will be provided. Feel free to bring your own fabrics too if you have something special you’d like to use & we positively encourage upcycling garments into new things. Woven fabrics work best for making a zipped pouch.

Vicki Halliday is the co-owner of The Good Stitch. Before she opened the shop, she worked in theatre & higher education, as a Costume Supervisor, Wardrobe Manager & Costume Maker. Vicki loves sharing the joy of sewing & creating with textiles. She is a patient teacher who believes in the power of self-learning, guiding her students to find that a-ha! moment & to reach their sewing goals.
