Embroidered Buttons with Liz Smith

Learn some new embroidery stitches & how to make beautiful covered buttons with your embroidery. You could make a full set for a garment, or different styles & sizes for crafting, or turn larger buttons into brooches. Liz will show you a variety of traditional stitches & you can choose from a range of designs or create your own. The possibilities are endless!

No experience is needed, Liz will set you off from the start if you haven’t tried embroidery before or teach you some new stitches if you already know what you’re doing. And we’ll show you all the tricks to making perfect covered buttons.

All materials are provided for this workshop - you’ll choose from our reclaimed linen & cotton fabrics & vintage embroidery threads, and be provided with the buttons & needles you’ll need. You’re welcome to bring your own materials that you want to use too.
