About the Event
Join this two-part workshop to get hooked on crochet. Jane will help you get to grips with holding your hook & yarn to keep good tension & learn all the basics to make your first granny squares. Learn how to make a chain, double crochet, half trebles & trebles. Learn what all the abbreviations mean in patterns & how to read them to follow patterns. This pair of lessons will get you started to confidently tackle many simple patterns on your own.
Jane teaches right & left handed crochet, so we’ve got you covered whichever you favour. A bonus is that you can mirror her or copy her if one works better for you.
Crochet hooks are a personal choice with everyone preferring to work with something a little different. There will be a chance to have a feel of some different types.
Included in the workshop is a quality crochet hook for you to keep & a choice of DK yarn to start practicing with. You don’t need to bring anything to these classes but you’re welcome to bring your own hooks or yarn if you want to.
Jane Brooker aka Hot Off The Hook is an experienced crocheter & knitter who has been sharing the joy of crochet for many years, first running classes for Worthing’s now closed Wool Bar & more recently hosting her own workshops & a regular Knit & Natter group. Jane has been inspired by ideas of repurposing surprising materials with crochet so watch this space for further workshops.
This class  runs on 2 afternoons starting 3rd September and concluding 10th September, both days 2pm - 4pm. For our class in the evenings of 17th and 24th September click here.
