About the Event
Stitch up some evergreen trees for Christmas decorations
Come & join a delightful hand stitching class to make these pretty decorative trees with scrap fabrics & old cotton reels. Add some hand embroidery to make them personal, make a few for your Christmas decorations or to give as gifts. Liz & Vicki can guide you if you’re new to embroidery, or maybe you know some pretty stitches to share with us!
No previous experience is needed & all equipment & materials will be provided but feel free to bring any special scraps or old cotton reels. A hot glue gun will be used to secure the trunks & will be supervised for safe use.
Liz Smith is fascinated with the creative power in pulling thread on a needle. Convinced that making something for yourself is a skill & a thrill for everyone to enjoy, she has made a career out of sharing her skills. Liz works as a textile artist, freelance costume maker & runs a variety of workshops. She uses her fabric remnants to make & sell unique textile pieces, raising money for charitable causes at garden events where the cake is as important as the makes.
