A Month of Sewing Lessons with Vicki Halliday

This set of sewing lessons gives you dedicated learning time in a small group setting & you’ll be supported by Vicki to raise your sewing game. Bring any project you choose to these four Thursday evening sessions, along with your fabric, pattern & haberdashery. Learn about measuring yourself & choosing the right size to cut & Vicki will ensure you learn all the best techniques to sew up your project.

Lessons are 2.5 hours long & the group is limited to a maximum of 3 students so everyone gets plenty of time for support. Your sewing will improve even if you only sew in the sessions, but you set your own pace & you’ll be empowered to continue sewing in your own time between the lessons.

This course is ideal for sewists who are already comfortable using a sewing machine or have taken our Introduction to Machine Sewing course & are ready to use commercial sewing patterns. Sewing machines, overlockers, cutting tables & all equipment is available for you to use. 

If you don’t finish your project in one set of lessons, you can book another month of lessons to continue or book in some personal sewing time in the shop to continue.

Vicki Halliday is the co-owner of The Good Stitch. Before she opened the shop, she worked in theatre & higher education, as a Costume Supervisor, Wardrobe Manager & Costume Maker. Vicki loves sharing the joy of sewing & creating with textiles. She is a patient teacher who believes in the power of self-learning, guiding her students to find that Aha moment & to reach their sewing goals.
