Learn to make a big, beautiful bag with this kit that includes all the fabric, zip & webbing you need, plus the pattern & link to an in-depth video class. 
 
This project is suitable for intermediate sewists & confident beginners who have cut & sewn a few things. The Zipped Pouch Class is a brilliant introduction for this project if you’ve never made a zipped bag before. This project will take about 3 hours to complete. 
 
The pattern makes a bag of medium size - 54cm wide by 27cm tall. The video includes dimensions for a larger & a smaller bag. The video tutorial is included in the price of the kit, please don’t share it freely.
 
The kit includes:
1m of Sunset Stripe fabric
1m of lining fabric - this will be random according to what we have in stock. Feel free to ask for a specific fabric but we cannot guarantee availability. 
1 chunky zip 
3.5m of webbing for the strap
2 pattern pieces on heavy paper

The bag was inspired by the amazing Sunset Stripe fabric that it is made with. We bought this with a job lot of deadstock fabric from a British manufacturer of fabrics for rail & airline upholstery. It is a great quality, hard wearing but soft & supple, easy to work with fabric. 
 
The lining fabric you receive in the kit will be pulled from the stock we hold, so you won’t know what it is until you open your kit. We choose good quality fabrics for the lining, things like cotton curtain fabrics, on the slightly heavier side so they’ll last well in your new Weekend Bag. At time of writing, we have a Graffiti print, Bart Simpson print & a few floral prints. Feel free to request one but we make no guarantees. 
 
The zip in your kit is sourced as deadstock from a high street fashion brand & the webbing is sourced from another small business in the UK. 
 
Vicki has drafted the pattern in house & we draw & cut out every one that goes into the kits.
